FAQ

How are the tunes developed?
Nizpro tunes are developed and stress tested on an in-house marine dyno, then validated on the water with extensive logged testing. The goal is to improve power, throttle response, drivability, and in many cases efficiency—without tuning the engine to its limit.

Why can tuning make such a big difference?
Many Yamaha outboards are built on shared engine-family platforms, and ECU calibration plays a major role in how performance, throttle response, and drivability are delivered. Nizpro tunes are designed to optimize that existing platform through dyno-developed, on-water-tested calibration work while maintaining reliability.

How long does mail-in tuning take?

Turnaround depends on shipping and workload, but we aim to process ECUs quickly once received. Typical turnaround time is 24-48 hours.

What if I don’t know my ECU part number?

How do I know if my engine is supported?

What if I order the wrong tune?

Will tuning void my Yamaha warranty?
Any aftermarket modification may affect warranty coverage. Customers should review their warranty terms and make their own decision before tuning.
